While the Los Angeles had already secured a playoff spot earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team booked their return to the play-offs after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle have taken over their division's standings with a 12-3 record, replacing the Los Angeles, who fell to the fifth playoff position with an eleven and four standing.

Signal-caller Sam Darnold had two picks but recovered to deliver two scoring throws, culminating in the tying score to star receiver Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point advantage at half-time before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a 55-yard touchdown run for Seattle.

Rams defensive back Wallace then took back Darnold's initial interception for a big return, leading to a short score by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.
